A beautiful ancient Greek terracotta stemless kylix dating to around 400-300 BC. The kylix is in excellent condition with a glossy black glaze and white concretions where it has been submerged in the sea. Vessels like this one were used for drinking wine, usually mixed with water. This type of pottery was produced in the Greek colony of Apulia in southern Italy.
