An excellent example of this classic variety of Romano-British bronze and enamel disc brooch. The inner cell is inlaid with red enamel, the outer with a deep blue, the majority of which remains. The two sections are divided by a concave-sided hexagonal motif, on whose cusps are six radiating lobes. Typically, the pin is missing.
