A beautiful Roman zoomorphic bronze brooch in the form of the mythical Chimera. Her did Pegasus and noble Bellerophon slay." A fantastic example of this rare type of Roman brooch dating to the 2nd century AD. Typically the pin is missing. Purchased from a private French collection.
