An absolutely stunning example of this classic coin, perfectly centred and of fine style with deep iridescent toning. The obverse with a representation of King Ancus Marcius, the fourth king of Rome, who had reigned over half a millennium before, from 642-617 BC. The reverse commemorates the construction of the Aqua Marcia in 144 BC by Q. Marcius Rex whose statue appears above the Aqueduct.
