An extremely rare and magnificent sestertius of the short-lived emperor Galba, whose reign lasted just seven months. He was the first emperor of the ‘Year of the Four Emperors’, and the last emperor to be born in the first century BC. Struck on an enormous 36 mm flan with a deep green patina. This coin would be a highlight of any serious early Imperial collection.
