A superb billon antoninianus of Numerian as Caesar. Numerian was the son of Carus and the younger brother of Carinus. He was bestowed the rank of Caesar by his father in 282, the year this coin was struck. This well centred example bears a detailed portrait of the young Caesar on the obverse with a full length depiction of him on the reverse, and a glossy dark brown patina.
