An impressive orichalcum dupondius of Vespasian struck in Rome, AD 75. The obverse with an expressive portrait of the emperor aged 66. The reverse inscription ‘FELICITAS PVBLICA’ can be translated as ‘Public Happiness’. A beautiful example, well centred with sharp details, a fantastic portrait and an attractive patina.
