Obverse: Opposing crescents and pellet in ring motif, at centre of four corn ears, pellet triad in each quarter.

Reverse: Horse running left, six pellets on shoulder, solid Y-shaped head, six spoked wheel and plain arc above, pellet in ring below.

Spink: 435. ABC: 1591. Van Arsdell: 675. [East Anglia, AD 40-45].

Diameter: 14 mm. Weight: 1.2 g.

A beautiful example of this scarce Iceni coin. A boldly struck and well centered example, featuring a heavily stylised interpretation of a horse, and the typical crescent moon motif which commonly appears on the coinage of the Iceni tribe. This quality specimen was discovered by metal detectorist in Norfolk.
